Source: searx-admin Severity: serious Hi,
fonts-materialdesignicons-webfont is going to be removed from the archive: the font binary embeds the brand icons (trademark-restricted, not DFSG free) and the package isn't built from source (see #1140680). Its only two consumers are Horizon (via python-xstatic-mdi) and searx-admin. searx-admin serves its icons from the font package: /usr/share/fonts-materialdesignicons-webfont/css/materialdesignicons.min.css /usr/share/fonts-materialdesignicons-webfont/scss/materialdesignicons.scss fonts-materialdesignicons-legacy provides the same font, built from the MaterialDesign-SVG source with the brand icons excluded. A pending update (-4) will additionally keep the above exact paths working, through compat symlinks (css, scss and a flat fonts/) backed by the v6.9.96 build. I verified that all eight MDI icons searx-admin uses (alert-outline, file-restore, logout, pen, play, reload, replay, stop) exist in v6.9.96. Please change in the next upload (after fonts-materialdesignicons-legacy -4 reaches unstable, which adds the compat paths): -Depends: fonts-materialdesignicons-webfont, libjs-material-design-lite, +Depends: fonts-materialdesignicons-legacy (>= 5.9.55+6.9.96+dfsg-4), libjs-material-design-lite, [...] I will then request the removal of fonts-materialdesignicons-webfont (see #1140680) once both consumers have been switched. NB: the autopkgtest (debian/tests/general) currently fails for an unrelated reason: /etc/uwsgi/apps-enabled is no longer shipped by uwsgi 2.0.31-6, so the "ln -s ../apps-available/searx-admin.ini /etc/uwsgi/apps-enabled/searx-admin.ini" step fails. An "install -d /etc/uwsgi/apps-enabled" before it fixes the test, and could be done in the same upload. Thanks for your help, Cheers, Thomas Goirand (zigo)
