This does not come with source.
You can find the source at https://github.com/googlefonts/googlefontdirectory-hg/tree/master/ofl/play

This font is licensed under OFL-1.1+RFN and more than 10 years [1] it was already declared "de facto abandoned". There is ~zero chance to reproduce a bit-for-bit identical file to the one provided upstream.

I'm pretty new to this topic, so before doing a change to this package, that may be considered stupid afterward, I prefer to ask you directly: would it be OK repack the package with the source files, to build the font in d/rules but to still install upstream provided TTF files ?

Hi Sébastien,

This seems to be the way that OFL-1.1-RFN fonts are handled in the Fonts team. Please make the suggested change.

Thanks,
Bastian
