Package: python3-pandas
Version: 2.3.3+dfsg-5
Severity: serious
Control: tags -1 patch
Control: forwarded -1 https://github.com/pandas-dev/pandas/issues/71459
(actually they found it first)
pandas cannot process dateutil 3.0 timezones; attempting to do so raises
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'total_seconds'
Because this functionality has tests, this is currently an FTBFS.
Upstream have what may be a patch, but it's not accepted yet and is to
code that changed between 2.3 and 3.0, so attempting to apply it in
Debian would be risky.
As a temporary measure, I intend to upload pandas with build-time tests
(but not autopkgtests) disabled, to unblock the Python 3.15 transition
for packages that depend on pandas. (This bug itself is *not* related
to Python 3.15, but like all packages with extension modules, pandas
needs to be rebuilt to add a new Python version.)
