Package: libxalan14
Version: 1.4-1
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 7.5.1

When performing a dist-upgrade, I get the following error:

dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libxalan14_1.4-1_i386.deb
(--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/usr/lib/libxalan-c.so.1', which is also in package
libxalan1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 /var/cache/apt/archives/libxalan14_1.4-1_i386.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Seems a Conflicts: or Replaces: might be in order here.

Version: 1.4-2

This bug was fixed in an NMU, but never closed. I'm closing it with the
correct version so that its status can be properly version-tracked.

For reference:

xalan (1.4-2) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * Fixed policy violation, a conflict with libxalan1 (closes: bug#189223)
   * embedded soname is now libxalan.so.14 (rather than .so.1 -> so.1.4.0)

Regards,

Adam
