The display-dhammapada package contains two copies of the Dhammapada.
We have no permission to edit the first, modern, copy, and hence it needs to
be moved to non-free after sarge releases.
The second copy was translated by Frederick Max Muller (1823-1900)
and published in his Sacred Books of the East series prior to 1923,
and hence should be in the public domain everywhere in the world.
(Many countries are life+n, where n is 100 (Mexico!) or less. Everything
published prior to 1923 is in the public domain in the US, which is the
only exception I know of to the general life+n rule. France and Russia
have special exemptions if you were a citizen during the war or something,
but Max Muller was a German.) In summary, it's DFSG-free, but the translator
and the death date of the translator should be added to the copyright to
make that clear.
