The only thing ttf-opensymbol postinst does is to call fc-cache to update the font cache after 1 ttf file got installed by the package. This is what fails. So it's a fontconfig bug. There's no sense in depending on fontconfig >= 2.4.1-2 or so because OOo doesn't need anything from that. It just lets (like any other ttf-*) update the cache. Regards, Rene -- .''`.
