I just tested it. It works flawlessly! I'm not sure why building on the server itself doesn't work... I'd like to track that down, although I don't think it's related to this bug. My locally-built package seems to be unable to correctly process apache's Include directives, so maybe this is related to filesystem access. T -- Life is unfair.
