I am setting the severity of this bug to "important", as it does not
make the package unusable for everyone (a number of users are using
KDevelop 3.4.0 without encountering the bug you describe). You can

Could you possibly try creating a new user and running KDevelop as
that user, to see if the bug is related to your settings? Also, I will
prepare a debug version of kdevelop so that we get a more explicit
backtrace and let yuo know when it's available.
