Package: squid
Version: 2.6.5-6
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hello,

after having performed a distupgrade, I found squid to be unusable. I
reinstalled config file from package w/o changes.

Once you start squid, it dies a few seconds later.

here's squid -d 10 output:

FATAL: comm_select_init: epoll_create(): (38) Function not implemented

Squid Cache (Version 2.6.STABLE5): Terminated abnormally.
CPU Usage: 0.030 seconds = 0.020 user + 0.010 sys
Maximum Resident Size: 0 KB
Page faults with physical i/o: 312

the above message repeats 5 times, then squid dies.

this is what /var/log/messages shows:

Apr 26 09:41:35 kiwi squid[1359]: Squid Parent: child process 1369 started
Apr 26 09:41:35 kiwi squid[1359]: Squid Parent: child process 1369 exited due
to signal 6

again, the above message repeats 5 times.

Please advise.

Nevermind. This issue was because I was running a 2.4 kernel. After
upgrade to 2.6 kernel, it works again
