Hi, Importand kernel-images (like kernel-image-2.6-k7) are missing in 1rst DVD disk of latest official Sarge DVD images, while not usefull (outdated) kernel images take lots of place in first Debian Sarge DVD:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cdrom/pool/main/k$ du -h /cdrom/pool/main/k |grep kernel |grep M 4,5M /cdrom/pool/main/k/kernel-image-2.4.25-i386 41M /cdrom/pool/main/k/kernel-image-2.4.26-i386 36M /cdrom/pool/main/k/kernel-image-2.4.27-i386 46M /cdrom/pool/main/k/kernel-image-2.6.7-i386 4,0M /cdrom/pool/main/k/kernel-source-2.4.26 40M /cdrom/pool/main/k/kernel-source-2.6.6 40M /cdrom/pool/main/k/kernel-source-2.6.7 So, why not usefull (outdated) kernel-image or kernel-source are in 1rst Sarge DVD disk, while latest aren't fully included (for example there are missing kernel-image-2.6.7-1-k7 and kernel-image-2.6.7-1-586) ? I think debian-cd scripts to include only one version (with all variants - 686, k7, 586, etc.) of kernel-image-2.4.x and one of kernel-image 2.6.x More info about kernel images in first CD are in this tread: http://lists.debian.org/debian-cd/2004/01/msg00144.html Btw, why 1rst Debian sarge DVD (2004-09-06) is ~90 Mb smaller, that maximum size of DVD disc ? I think we should make 1rst Debian DVD as big as possible, because lost of people are downloading only one DVD disk. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
