I have just built new sarge cd images making some changes to debian-cd so that installation could in some cases arrive to a successfull state in the end, Petter Reinholdtsen and Sebastian Ley have been testing the netinst images and seems to work quite well, even though there are still a lot of bugs. More testers are welcome.
As for the changes, I have taken kernel-image-2.4.19-386 out of debian-installer+kernel task, as it doesn't exist, and replaced it with kernel-image-2.4-386 and also added grub there (Petter sait it was needed by grub-installer), so the file ended up like this: * debian-installer to be able to complete the installation of the base. * at least at this pre-sarge days. * * Last update: $Date: 2002/12/26 10:39:02 $ */ #include <debian-installer> cramfsprogs dash grub initrd-tools kernel-image-2.4-386 zlib1g Petter asked me what is zlib1g doing there, if it isn't supposed to be pulled when needed, and I don't remember why it was put there to know if it can be removed, anyone? :-? Any other thing to remove or add? comments? The other changes are: The removal of the cdrom144 option, as it no longer exists. Made the required changes to build using sjogren's debian-installer repository instead of tfheen's broken one. If all this seems fine I'll commit them and upgrade the udeb list as well. Comments?
