Hi, You don't say *which* MD5SUMS files you're talking about, which is not very helpful. Please be more specific in future! Anyway, I've looked through quite a set of files and I've found a problem with the files in http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/4.0_r6/i386/iso-cd/ where the checksums for the update images have the problem you're mentioning.
