IIRC the original concern which lead to Xen only being on multi-arch images was about blowing up the netinst CD where the fractional increase was a more significant %age, I think the same concern doesn't really extend to the DVD images though? On i386 I think we now include the pae kernel packages on the DVD1 by default anyway (for native usage) so the increase would be only +~20M for the PAE installer kernel and initrd to support Xen On amd64 there is no real size increase, since Xen uses the regular kernel and the cdrom/xen installer is actually just a symlink (for consistency with 32 bit). It's ~12K, which, I suspect, is mostly rounding slop in the ISO format.
