As far as I know, only the first couple of disc images are supposed to be on the main mirror. If you need other (much less popular – most people need only the first CD) images, download them with jigdo¹². MD5 and SHA sums are there for completion, so you can verify your download (though jigdo does it for you (with MD5 sums)). I personally recommend using jigdo for downloading any Debian CD. It makes things much faster on not-extremely-fast connections, especially when you have previous Debian CDs or images to reuse.
