Yesterday me too had trouble attempting to connect to cdimage.debian.org I download the iso using a bash shell script and the command: wget -O - http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/7.8.0/amd64/jigdo-dvd/ fails reporting that no data was send from the server. Changing ISP for me did the trick... it looks like that cdimage.debian.org is fine, today my script downloads the 10 isos of Wheezy 7.8.0 regularly and now all works nicely.
