One problem (there may be more) is that the ndiswrapper.ko file is not installed. The problem is only with the full cd installer. Using a netinstall version e.g. debian-6.0.5-i386-netinst.iso where ndiswrapper is downloaded over a wired internet connection installs ndiswrapper successfully. The problem seems to extend to other distributions which rely heavily on debian e.g. Linux Mint Debian Edition (linuxmint-201204-mate-cinnamon-dvd-32bit.iso) which also fails to install ndiswrapper.ko. The problem seems to have existed for a long time. I first encountered it several months ago and, then, I found several references to the problem on the internet.
