Problem of starting gnome

Hi,
        I have a problem of starting gnome.

        I upgrade gnome from unstable(gnome 1.2)

        When I use startx, it start gnome again and again.

        So, it opens many many many gmc and gnomecc and panel,

        and can't stop.

        What's wrong?
