Dear all, Just a few minutes ago I still had a working Chinese environment(woody with task -chinese-s, task-chinese-t and cpanel installed), but now I cannot see even a sin gle Chinese char in X! All the chars appeared as unrecognizable ones. :((
The single reason for this is that I did an "apt-get dist-upgrade" after I saw there's a new locales pkg available. Here's some info may be helpful for you kind men to diagnose my problem: ==================== $ cat ~/.xsession: #!/bin/bash LANG=zh_CN.GB2312 LC_ALL=zh_CN.GB2312 export LANG LC_ALL sawfish & exec panel ===================== $ ls /usr/share/locale/zh* -d /usr/share/locale/zh /usr/share/locale/zh_CN.GBK /usr/share/locale/zh_CN /usr/share/locale/zh_TW /usr/share/locale/zh_CN.GB2312 /usr/share/locale/zh_TW.Big5 ===================== $ ls /usr/lib/X11/locale/zh* -d /usr/lib/X11/locale/zh /usr/lib/X11/locale/zh_HK.Big5HKSCS /usr/lib/X11/locale/zh_CN.GBK /usr/lib/X11/locale/zh_TW /usr/lib/X11/locale/zh_HK.Big5 /usr/lib/X11/locale/zh_TW.Big5 ====================== $ ls /etc/gtk/gtkrc.zh* /etc/gtk/gtkrc.zh_CN /etc/gtk/gtkrc.zh_TW.Big5 ====================== Any help appreciated. btw, why doesn't this list have a FAQ? why don't those senior Chinese debian use rs/developers introduce some of their own experience on how to setup Chinese envi ronment to Chinese debian newbies? If they are just too busy, I really wish I cou ld help... -- | This message was re-posted from [email protected] | and converted from gb2312 to big5 by an automatic gateway.
