I aready had a look and is indead quite simple (in the good way).

I work a lot on build-debian-cloud, python branch. I would be glab to see
it in this branch. When fully integrated in cloud-init, it would be really
easy to add GCE to build-debian-cloud with a simple plugin.

I would be glad to help, if needed, on GCE packaging when merged.
