-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello all, I have generated a set of Debian Jessie AMIs in all AWS Regions worldwide (8 standard commercial Regions, Beijing and US GovCloud). These images are 64 bit, HVM only (using grub). They successfully boot on all instances I have tested (m3, c3 and g2, and of course, the t2 family). The image includes support for multiple network interfaces (ENI), multiple network sub-interfaces. It also is enabled for SR-IOV (Enhanced Networking). Not installed by default, but completely possible: the nvidia-kernel-dkms package from non-free compiles, installs, and in my basic testing works well.
I plan on refreshing these Jessie images at random intervals, so these images are purely for evaluation and feedback. I think there is some additional clean-up to do (such as the /boot/grub/devices.map file I think is no longer needed). if you have the time and desire to have a play, here are the AMI IDs: Virtualisation Hardware Virtualisation (HVM) Root filesystem EBS Architecture x86_64 US-East-1 ami-5c1ab234 US-West-1 ami-116f6754 US-West-2 ami-f7f0b0c7 EU-West-1 ami-02ec4a75 AP-Southeast-1 ami-8cddf9de AP-Southeast-2 ami-15a9ca2f AP-Northeast-1 ami-85406e84 SA-East-1 ami-9b45ef86 US-Gov-West-1 ami-bbdfb898 CN-North-1 ami-3e54c607 See also: https://wiki.debian.org/Cloud/AmazonEC2Image/Jessie The patches for bootstrap-vz to generate these images are in my github tree (https://github.com/JamesBromberger/bootstrap-vz). Feel free to grab them. Testing of scripts & AMIs, feedback and patches welcome.
