Package: cloud.debian.org Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
The debian/jessie64 vagrant box published on HashiCorp Atlas doesn't have the linux kernel headers installed. When bringing up a VM, vagrant warns if the guest additions installed on the guest do not match with the VirtualBox version on the host. But the VM should work fine. There is a vagrant-vbguest plugin which automatically updates the guest additions installed on the guest to match that of the VirtualBox version on the host. It is widely used and even I have it installed on my system. Since the kernel headers are not installed, the installation of the guest additions fails and features like shared folders and etc. no longer work. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.2.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_IN.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_IN.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
