I don't agree with this. I have no reason to doubt Steve's ability to
do the right thing for Debian. Being a contributor to one means that
he's in a position to actually understand the issues better than most.
Additionally, I think this approach to voting ("if you've ever been
involed with X then you can't vote on it") would quickly run us out of
competent people available to cast votes.
