Hello, All right I made a stupid mistake. I modified my isolinux.cfg so that debian would load by default a 2.6 kernel, but I made a mistake in this line which is why the installer would not work. So now I got past the cdrom-checker part of the installation.
However, I still have another problem. Right before the "Loading components for the Debian Installer" part, a message shows up saying that there was a problem reading data from CDROM, and that the installer can't go further. So apparently, for some reason, it can not load the components from the cdrom. If anybody knows the real reason of this...
