Going back through this bug, I'm kind of loathe to change the way that it works currently.
The reasons are two fold: 1) All modifiable values which can only be set to a single value are in quotes; those that take multiple values use the colon. 2) Any change means that extant parsers have to be rewritten, and also means that these messages will stop being consistent. [IE, log messages after the change will be different from those before the change.] I'm open to argument to sway me either way; but baring that, I'll probably mark this wontfix.
