I don't want to receive duplicate mails too since I already have the mail in my "Sent" Folder and don't need another one in my Inbox. I by the way think the BTS is sometimes too verbose. Like, every time you sent something to the BTS it sends you a "Thank you for your info mail". This is nice for the bug reporter but shouldn't be sent to the maintainer of a package when he answers a bug report.
