I think an "ice" style theme is a natural successor to the "space" theme of Squeeze.
However, penguins are too common among Linux themes in general for them to stand out as Wheezy specific. I think that instead of showing a penguin, we could instead include penguin footprint shapes in the ice/snow. For example, a wallpaper could be a top down view of cracked ice, with water shaded penguin footprints. I know Sabayon already uses a penguin footprint, but our footprints could be more cartoonish. Here's a quick mock up of my idea: http://isaackuo.no-ip.org:8880/ijk/deb/icefootprints.png Isaac Kuo [email protected] > ----- Original Message ----- > I wonder what you think of it as the next visual conception of Debian. > I'm thinking of using cool colors, a palette of "ice colors". > I found something close to it as the background[1].
