Package: desktop-base Version: 7.0.3 Severity: important
I'm marking this as important because a lot of people would want this as part of the default GNOME environment The package is called assogiate and it creates a shortcut called SystemTools/'File Types Editor'
There's the simple case scenario where text files that have different extensions should be able to be associated with different applications, and there's always the command-line of doing it, but I think this gui app is for the better benefit :)
Please bundle this with the desktop-base.. I think it's a big plus :) -Scott -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.9-0.bpo.1-amd64 (SMP w/3 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages desktop-base depends on: ii dpkg 1.16.10 ii librsvg2-common 2.36.1-1 desktop-base recommends no packages.
