I fail to reproduce this problem although I tested the upgrade on my own system and several VMs with different desktops. It would help if you could provide : - the version of desktop-base before the upgrade that you can find in /var/log/apt/term.log. It will look like : Unpacking desktop-base (9.0.3) over (x.y.z) ... - the upgrade logs also from /var/log/apt/term.log. I’m interested in the lines that follow : Setting up desktop-base (9.0.3) ... - the result of : update-alternatives --display desktop-theme - the result of : ls -l /usr/share/desktop-base/active-theme Thanks, --Aurélien
