I suppose it could be. I think that: find /var/spool/cron/crontabs -mindepth 1 -maxdepth 1 -print0 | xargs -0 -r chgrp crontab will handle all cases, including an empty directory, and will also fork less. Of course, if usernames can contain slashes, we are all in far worse trouble. :-) -- - mdz
