One way to resolve this dilemma is to realize that 'Debian' can refer to two things: the project and the distribution. Debian the operating system is free software since non-free/contrib is not part of Debian (== main). Debian the project is not (strictly) a free software project since it contains and supports the non-free part. Thus, a reasonable position for a free software supporter may be to support the Debian operating system but not support the Debian project. /Simon -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
