This application interfaces with libcamera directly, allowing for tighter integration with the camera stack and the implementation of hardware specific features. For a camera application that works at a higher level for simpler usecases, see Kamoso. This package aims to provide a camera app for Plasma Mobile systems. Its feature set is similar to the GTK counterpart (gnome-snapshot). Relying on libcamera, it supports out-of-the-box cameras for mobile devices supported by mainline Linux projects like Mobian (e.g. op6-enchilada, op6t-fajita, xiaomi-beryllium, google-sargo). I will be maintaining this package within the Debian Qt/KDE team, as I'm doing for other Plasma mobile-related packages.
