Par2cmdline-turbo aims to keep close with its upstream and mostly differs in the following areas related to performance: * GF16, MD5 and CRC32 computation, using ParPar’s implementation; * ParPar’s internal checksumming to detect RAM errors during GF16 computation; * ParPar’s stitched hashing approach; * C++11's threads in place of par2cmdline's OpenMP dependency. Par2-turbo is fully compatible with the reference implementation. It is the par2 utility of choice for sabnzbdplus nowadays and included in their windows and macos binaries. I intend to set both as valid alternatives there, e.g. 'depends: par2-turbo | par2'.
