The inverse might be true as well ;)

For the Rust team, only a handful of "traditionally" maintained
packages use pristine-tar. But 99% of the rest still use upstream
tarballs as their source of upstream sources, despite not
having a pristine-tar branch (they don't even track the full debian/
dir in git).
