I spoke with John Mertic of The Open Mainframe Project this morning to get more details about the LPAR at Marist. It's part of an older program that The Open Mainframe Project no longer offers, so it's grandfathered in to the space there. I'd have to dig a bit deeper to see if there's potential to grow our footprint there, just let me know. Alternatively, over at IBM I do run the IBM LinuxONE OSS Community Cloud (L1OSSCC), which grants virtual machines to projects on a permanent basis, the only renewal requirement is clicking a link once a year (and even with that, the team and I review activity and do our best to reach out to the community directly before a VM is shut down, let alone deleted). It's the same infrastructure as the current offering from Marist/OMP, just administered by a different team and technically remains a different sponsor. In speaking with John, he thinks having Debian apply for the L1OSSCC is a good path forward. The form to apply is here: https://community.ibm.com/zsystems/form/l1cc-oss-vm-request/ And although it isn't explicitly stated, we do offer Debian 13 as one of the images for our VMs. -- Elizabeth K.
