Do you think this is perhaps a bit too strong? "alert fatigue" might affect some people, but not everyone is the same. And it could apply to bug reports as well: do large numbers of open bug reports indicate poor quality and that the package should be kept out of testing longer? making problems, like failing tests, visible is also a good thing - fixing failing tests should be a good way to get new contributions. > I also realize that the people who read debian-devel@ are on average > the more diligent ones who take high pride in their Debian work. i think this is a particularly unhelpful characterisation. people work in different ways, and reading a mailing list is not really a strong sign of digligence. (ps - i would agree with the original sugestion that packages with failing salsa-ci should be delayed)
