I agree completely and will adopt you suggestion. BTW, I will be the maintainer with the package having the longest name in Debian. Wow! I forgot to ask in debian-devel in which section this package should go. Looking for the sections of the *-perl packages in frozen's Packages.gz file, yields: libdbd-mysql-perl: contrib/interpreters libdbi-perl: contrib/interpreters dpkg-perl: devel libcgi-perl: web libcompress-zlib-perl: libs libcurses-perl: libs libdelimmatch-perl: text libgtk-perl: interpreters libio-stringy-perl: interpreters liblockdev0-perl: interpreters libmd5-perl: interpreters libmime-base64-perl: libs libmime-perl: mail libnet-perl: interpreters libterm-readkey-perl: libs libtime-hires-perl: libs libtime-period-perl: interpreters libtimedate-perl: interpreters libwww-perl: interpreters libxbase-perl: interpreters netcdf-perl: math libgd-perl: non-free/graphics Apparently there is not much logic in the choice of sections (e.g. libmime-base64-perl & libmime-perl). I am missing some other "pure Perl" packages, like Manoj's pkg-order (in section misc). In waiting the "Perl Module Packaging Policy for Debian", which section should I choose for libparse-recdescent-perl? (That's a long name, eh?) Another question: the upstream package provides documentation in POD format. Where should it go? I first thought in putting under /usr/lib/perl5/pod, but I guess that /usr/doc/libparse-recdescent-perl would be more appropriate. -- Rafael Laboissiere Institut de la Communication Parlee | Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] UPRESS A CNRS 5009 / INPG | Voice: +33 4.76.57.48.49 46, av.
