Note that discussions, patches, suggestions regarding the Install Manual often go to the debian-boot list rather than here, but I read both lists. I'll include here a guide on how to use the CVS area. Unlike the web pages we maintain a main codeline (for potato), and a fork for slink. Depending on whether you intend to work directly on potato documentation for the next release, or whether you intend on translating the Slink stuff and pulling that forward to potato, you may decide to work ont he trunk or the branch. It's up to you. CVS comes with excellent documentation; in particular, see the 'cvs' info pages. There are various ways to access the CVS repository for the boot-floppies, depending on your circumstances. However, once you've set up your CVSROOT variable properly, all the access methods behave identically. The following are bash commands you can run to get the CVS area; other shell users should be able to translate to their shell language easily.
