I was looking for the "Debian New Maintainer's >Guide", which is at the URL, >http://www.debian.org/doc/maint-guide/index.html > >It is a step-by-step guide on how to package a software. > Is (still?)... at the mirror in the Netherlands http://www.nl.debian.org/doc/maint-guide/
An other hint: I have a local copy on my computer with hostname 'mir' ( for "mirror" ) At mir I did an 'apt-get install maint-guide' in "/var/www/", root directory of apache, I made a sub directory "ddp", for Debian Documentation Project. In that dir is a link to "maint-guide" mir:/var/www/ddp $ file *maint* maint-guide: symbolic link to /usr/share/doc/maint-guide/maint-guide.html/ mir:/var/www/ddp $ ls -dl *maint* lrwxrwxrwx 1 stappers stappers 44 Feb 25 12:28 maint-guide -> /usr/shar e/doc/maint-guide/maint-guide.html/ mir:/var/www/ddp $ ( yes, the link is from today ) now I can go http://mir/ddp/maint-guide/ to read the document More package _names_ to install are at http://www.nl.debian.org/doc/ddp Gegroet Geert
