:) Yes you are right. This could have been a good answer for PAM. But my initial question was more premitive. I was wondering how Debian uses /etc/group entry accessed by pam_unix.so. root:????:0 ... msql:x:36: operator:x:37: list:x:38: ... What are the assigend meaning of "operator" for example? I found that Javier got it from Joey Hess's mailing list thread. So I guess there were no written rules before for this. Thanks I learned 1 thing. :) -- ~\^o^/~~~ ~\^.^/~~~ ~\^*^/~~~ ~\^_^/~~~ ~\^+^/~~~ ~\^:^/~~~ ~\^v^/~~~ +++++ Osamu Aoki @ Cupertino CA USA See "User's Guide": http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/users-guide/ See "Debian reference": http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/debian-reference/ "Debian reference" Project at: http://qref.sf.net I welcome your constructive criticisms and corrections.
