Well, it's hardly a thing someone needs to do often. Moreover, why add this function to debianutils when debianutils already has 'which' ? Actually, for my pathcheck function, I think I am going to switch my recommendation for maintainer scripts to use the which function. Sure it's in /usr/ but who cares.
