This repository was created some time ago, and used recently by Julien Louis and myself to manage French translations of Debian specific man pages. As for now a daily running script scans package content and shows man pages which have been updated by Debian developers. Translators can check whether their translations are up to date by using a check_transl.pl script similar to the one in webwml. In the future we hope that developers will manage themselves the English versions and get translations from this CVS repository, but this is a long term goal, you have to send your translations to the BTS in order for them to be included. > Anyway, I'm attaching what I have done in case someone with CVS write > access wants to commit this translations. > > The synaptic directory should be created inside manpages/portuguese tree > and the two attached files (synaptic.pt_BR.8 and INFOS) should be put > inside it. Ok, will do. > Manpage: synaptic.pt_BR.8 > Encoding: iso-8859-1 > Location: man/pt_BR/man8/synaptic.pt_BR.8 The Location field tells where to find this man page in the source package, so it must not be set until this man page is shipped.
