I have two questions about it: | 1. since imho it is a valuable source of information, how can I put it into | the debian distribution? You can * ask for someone to become maintainer of this package by filing an RFP (request for packaging) for it. * ask for someone to become a temporary maintainer of this package by filing an RFS (request for sponsor) for it ; and become maintainer for it yourself later (after you have gone through new maintainer process)
Since you have created your first debian package, second possibility seems most likely ; do you intend to become a debian maintainer ? Either way, is a good idea to contact [email protected] . I am not CC-ing them on this message, because first thing they will need is a link to a weblocation where they can find your package, so please include that if you mail them. (and please CC me, i'm kinda curious). | 2. What kind of license would be acceptable for debian? I am currently | using the creative commons attribution license, which is also used by the | subversion book. Read "Debian Free Software Guidelines" ; you can find it on www.debian.org . If you want it to be translated, you might also contact the appropriate translators list (l10n-italian or somesuch, see www.debian.org) | Ciao | -- | On this laptop no Windows system survives and LINUX POWER reigns UNLIMITED. | Successfully Microsoft free since December 2002. | GnuPG key ID: 28A61681 (any reason why you ddn't sign your message with it ?)
