Package: fontconfig
Version: 2.4.1-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
Recent Sid versions cannot write font caches.
Will report scanning of # directories, # fonts in log or using -v option,
but will not write caches. This renders X very slow (such a bug reported)
and KDE and such nearly impossible starting and program loading times.
Interesting enough, once KDE finally loads, the font setup dialog of KDE
shows the fonts!

Hi
As a default cache dir was added, I assume this issue does not occur when
upgrading from sarge to etch anymore. So I'm closing this bug, feel free to
prove the contrary...
Cheers
Luk
