Hi all:

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm reading in Wheezy and Jessie Debian publicly
available doc that the fast way to install Debian from a USB pendrive
is:

# cp debian.iso /dev/sdX
# sync

https://www.debian.org/releases/stable/amd64/ch04s03.html.en#usb-copy-isohybrid

Is this fine?

In Squeeze docs "cp" command was "cat" one. I tried with a relative
new desktop and "cp" didn't work but "cat" or "dd if= of=" worked
fine.

I write you just in case it is an error.

Thank you,
