Quack,
Sorry for the late request, I entirely forgot. I also hoped it would not
be necessary in case 4.2 could work with a few patches but I just
finished packaging it and that's not working.
If not too late, here is the message I wish to convey:
Redmine is unfortunately late migrating over to newer Rails version
despite end of upstream support soon (currently only severe security
fixes). In Debian we had to update Rails for other applications thus
Redmine is not provided in bullseye. We are following upstream closely
and will be releasing a version via backports as soon as it is released
and we have working packages. Until then you may wait before upgrading,
or use a VM or container running Buster to isolate this specific
application.
