Package: dpkg Version: 1.14.5 Severity: wishlist -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
dpkg should export dependencies like "pkg [amd64 i386]" to the binary package and ignore dependencies for non-matching architectures at runtime. Also, I propose to add a field "Install-to:" for arch-indep packages, which defines to which Packages file it will be installed. This would allow packages like ndisgtk to be arch-indep, but installed only into the i386 and amd64 Packages files. - -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages dpkg depends on: ii coreutils 5.97-5.3 The GNU core utilities ii libc6 2.6-5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries dpkg recommends no packages. - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFGugyyrCpf/gCCPsIRAqqcAJ48u/vn9j5YKhfS1IJJvigNp5HqOwCfc9Q5 Uz2zeNcxBteT9+mhW7DaIrw= =pdBD -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
