I really think that such information should not be stored in the Debian
package itself. If you have a centralized solution like you describe,
there's no point to have a link in the package itself.

Furthermore we don't want to push even more responsibilities on the
shoulder of the maintainers and this topic is a perfect example where
user are best placed to provide significant screenshots for the packages
that they use.

That said, there's a real need for this kind of meta-information about the
packages and we even drafted http://wiki.debian.org/CRMI during Debconf6.

But nobody has yet decided to champion that project. I'm thus reaffecting
this to "project" just in case someone watching this pseudo-package
has some interest in implementing such an infrastructure.
