Hi,
Though dpkg-gensymbols(1) mentions the usage of symbol tags, the concept of
recently added different deprecation types and their definitions has not been
documented in the man page, as it was described in #521551 bug log. This would
make the idea behind the optional symbols clear enough as it is not instantly
obvious unless one digs the BTS.
thanks

Those "deprecationt types" have not been implemented, the patch evolved
with my feedback. You should have read the entry entirely before
considering the BTS to be authoritavive information.
What has been implemented is documented in the manual page, look for
"Standard symbol tags". There's nothing more to know.
