i have an incarnation of this which is way more obvious: dpkg-query: warning: parsing file '/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 48059 package 'libvorbis0': missing architecture
duh. this is a package from the stone age, which was uninstalled but not purged looooong ago. there is absolutely no point for dpkg to moan about that. certainly i can work around that for most packages by simply purging them. but i also have a bunch of uninstalled packages for which i want to keep the config files, because i just replaced the packaged version with something self-compiled. and in some cases there is no updated package to install and remove again just to bring the database up-to-date. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
