please document how to use the symlink_to_dir/dir_to_symlink dpkg-maintscript-helper commands correctly if they are being introduced "too late", e.g. version 1 ships a symlink version 2 ships a directory version 3 starts using d-m-h symlink_to_dir IMHO prior_version should be 3~ in this case.
